VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

There are many opportunities to volunteer with the King-Tisdell Cottage Foundation.  To volunteer, call (912) 234-8000.

At the Beach Institute African American Culture Center

Become a docent (trained tour guide) for the museum, operate the museum store that is planned, and provide projects support.  Requires a short training program and commitment of five volunteer hours per month.                              

With the Negro Heritage Trail Tour: an African American Journey

This exciting bus tour of historic Savannah focuses on the contributions and history of African Americans in Savannah.  Learn the city’s tour guide requirements, facts of the tour, and meet people from all over the country by conducting pre-scheduled step-on tours.  No driving is necessary 

Attend the events of your choice, welcome guests and assist in exhibit openings and gallery talks, performances of many kinds, workshops and more.
